Paragons claim back-to-back titles

Despite having a game in hand, defending Female Antigua and Barbuda Volleyball Association (ABVA) League champions claimed the title for the second consecutive year after a win over F and G Trading Jets on Saturday.

Playing in the lone female encounter at the YMCA Volleyball Indoor facility, Paragons defeated Jets 3-1 in sets, winning 25-23, 25-18, 25-8 to move to an 11-0 record, while Jets who are in second, dropped to 9-1.

Paragons, in their remaining match-up will face NCH Starz Nova on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Meanwhile in the Male match-up, High Flyers defeated former champions, Enforcers, 3-1 in sets, winning 12-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-17 in the feature encounter.

The championship male match will also spike off on Tuesday evening at the YMCA Volleyball arena.
