Paragons and Pytonz draw first blood

Paragons and Pytonz drew first blood on Thursday night in the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association (ABAVA) President’s Cup.

Playing in Game one of the best of three finals, defending female champions Paragons continued their undefeated streak as they defeated rivals F and G Trading Jets 3-1 in sets at the YMCA Volleyball Indoor Facility, winning 25-21, 25-18, 21-25, 26-24.

Meanwhile, in the male division, Pytonz upset the critics by stunning championship favorites Stoneville in straight sets, winning 25-20, 25-20, 25-23.

Game two of the finals is scheduled to spike off tonight at 6:30p.m. with the female encounter, followed immediately by the male match-up.
