Paragons and High Flyerz record wins in Volleyball League

Defending female volleyball champions, Paragons, continued their winning ways over the weekend in the ongoing Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association (ABAVA) League.

Playing at the YMCA Sports Complex, Paragons defeated their rivals, Jetz, 3-1 in sets in the first match of the double header evening.

After losing the first set 19-25, the champs rose to the occasion, winning three straight sets-25-19, 25-22, 25-14, to secure the win second win of the competition.

The champions have had a slow start this season losing their first two matches before finally winning the third and fourth games; they now have a 2-2 record, identical to that of Jetz.

Meanwhile, in the lone male encounter that evening, High Flyerz soared above Renegades to secure their third win of the season.

The victors defeated Renegades 3-1 in sets, winning, 19-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-21.

Games will continue on Wednesday starting at 6:30 with North Coast Hardware Starz 1 facing North Coast Hardware Starz 2, while Sharks will battle JanServe Cool and Smooth Storming Lions.
