Pacesetters and Elites record wins in Netball League

Pacesetters and Rainforest Elites both recorded wins in the Antigua and Barbuda Netball League in the Open and Mixed divisions.

Playing on Thursday night at the YMCA Sports Complex, Pacesetters were the first of the two teams to secure a win, defeating SW Electronics Black Lightning 28-18 in the lone Open Division encounter.

Krizia Duncan netted 13 of her 26 attempts for the victors, while teammate Letitia Henry banked 10 of 13.

Kahtalia Valentine also got in on the action making five of 10.

Zaine Frederick was the leading scorer for Black Lightning, scoring seven of 13 while teammates Andesha Thomas and Joeyana Slyvester both made four of 10.

Meanwhile, in the lone Mixed Division match-up, Rainforest Elites remain undefeated after handing Chuka Fly Ballers a 47-16 thrashing.

Randy Frederick was an unstoppable force scoring an impressive 33 of his 51 attempts.

Anjis Anthony contributed, sinking nine of 19, while Jamila Fitz banked five of 10.

Fly Ballers’ Lincoln Weekes made nine of 18 while teammate Daniel Perez scored four of eight.
