Ovals school Rebels, Fearless Crew outplay Clippers in Division Two basketball

Cuties Ovals Ojays outplayed Rebels in Division Two of the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) competition on Tuesday, winning 84-52 in one of four games contested on the night.

The bulk of Ovals’ scoring was shared amongst four players with Curl Simon leading the charge, sinking 15 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Danny Perez had 13 points off the bench while there were contributions of 12 points each from Ndegua Malone and Danniel Perez.

In a losing effort, Kentacka Lake sank 15 points for Rebels with Bruce White and Kirwan Peterson picking up 13 and 11 points each.

Fearless Crew were also comfortable winners on Tuesday, beating Ottos Clippers 73-42. Leading the charge for the victors, Jamanda Richards had 15 points with Rafiki Harris adding 12 points to the total. The former Northside Stingerz player also grabbed nine rebounds.

Jason Philip was the only scorer of note for Clippers with 15 points and eight rebounds.

There was victory as well for Dream Chasers who made light work of Young Rivals to win by 19 points (82-63).

Broulio Estrada and Steadroy Graham both scored 20 points for Dream Chasers while there was an 18-point effort from Jesus Lopez. Dyllan Joseph was best on show for Rivals with 18 points while Jefrey George added 14 points to the losing cause.

In the other game played on Tuesday, Pointville Ballers defeated Ottos Vikings 69-55.
