Ottos remain unbeaten

Ottos Comprehensive School (OCS) continue to hold an unblemished record in the Senior Boy’s division of the Cool and Smooth Inter-School Basketball league as they recorded another victory on Thursday afternoon at the Blackburn basketball court in Villa.
OCS trumped the defending playoff champions, Jennings Secondary School (JSS), 59-49 as national junior players, Javon Simon and Lincoln Weekes led the charge with 21 and 18 points respectively.
Teammate Jabari Williams chipped in netting 11 while for JSS, Daniel Perez scored 19 points with assistance from national junior player, Alexis Jackson who sank 15.
OCS now push their record to 4-0.
Antigua Grammar School (AGS) were also victorious in the Senior boy’s category as they defeated Clare Hall Secondary School (CHSS), 42-35.
Jamar Bird led the Semper Virens with 18 points while Rolston Warner sank 11 points for CHSS.
Clare Hall would however have something to celebrate as their junior boys’ team trounced St. Joseph’s Academy (SJA), 37-29.
Lucaso Brumant Jr., the leading scorer for the victors, sank 15 points.
He was assisted by Javonte Daley who contributed 10 points.
Ginobili Cornwall and Tehran Zachariah both scored 9 points in a losing effort.
Former Mini-boy’s Primary champions Greenbay Primary found back their winning ways as they ran a clinic on Charlesworth T Samuel.
The 20-2 victory saw Kayonte George score a game high 13 points for the victors.
Villa Primary also found themselves in the winner’s circle as they defeated Buckleys Primary, 8-2.
J. Massiah had 4 points for the victors while A. Francis netted 2 for Buckleys.
The girls’ team however could not follow in their footsteps as they fell to Combined, 6-4.
Nefertti Colbourne scored 4 of her team’s 6 points while S. Francis and S. Lewis netted 2 points each.
