Ottos Full Throttle still remain at the edge of their seats as they sit in the dreaded relegation zone for the 1st Division of the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) league.
Full Throttle suffered their eighth-straight loss on Saturday night at the JSC Sports Complex, falling to Yorks Crushers, 70-66.
National player, Cohen DeSouza was an unstoppable force as he sank an impressive 40 points with 18 rebounds, five assists and four blocked shots.
He was assisted by Kebo Orford who had 16 points and 11 rebounds.
CBA player, Brandon Williams netted 28 points, six rebounds and six steals for Full Throttle.
Akeem “Chemist” Davis chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds while teammate, Josias David grabbed 10 rebounds in a losing effort.
F and G Trading Cuties Ovals Ojays III grabbed game one in the best of three Division 3 playoffs.
The Ojays trounced Hon Gaston Browne PointVille Ballers, 61-31 on Saturday night as national junior player, Judah Ferris led the team with 17 points and seven rebounds.
Another national junior player, Delornje Jules contributed with 13 points while teammate, Dante Knowles chipped in with 10 points and four steals.
PointVille’s Kyle Alex-ander had 12 points and eight rebounds with Kaylon Thomas contributing with eight points, seven rebounds and five steals.
Trey Beazer, also of PointVille, had 11 rebounds in a losing effort.
Game 2 of the playoffs will be on Wednesday.
