Celebrations were in full swing for Ottos Comprehensive School (OCS) as they were crowned the 2023 18 and under Cool and Smooth Interschool Netball champions on Wednesday.

The ladies in brown rallied to edge out Antigua State College (ASC) 17-15 at the YMCA Sports Complex.

Kiara Samuel led her team to victory banking 10 of her 19 shots to secure the title for OCS.

Jessica Massicott assisted netting seven of her 14.

ASC’s Zhanira Pereira scored 12 of her 13 in a losing effort.

This latest win pushes OCS’s undefeated record to 8-0 with one game in hand versus Clare Hall Secondary School (CHSS).

OCS also placed second in the 16 and under secondary section after defeating former champions Princess Margaret School (PMS) 9-7.

Kiara Samuel once again led her team to victory making six of her 11 attempts while for PMS, Jahida Payne made four of eight.

In the other games played that day, Glanvilles Secondary School (GSS) defeated Christ the King High School 1, 18-5 and All Saints Secondary School (ASSS) forfeited to CKHS 2.

While in the 18 and under category, Irene B Williams Secondary edged out CHSS, 16-15.
