Old Stagers, for the first time in the league’s history, were crowned champions of the All Saints Community Football League (ASCFL) following a thrilling 3-2 triumph over Police in Wednesday’s final contested at the Mack Pond playing field.

The team, which consists of former national players like Peter “Big Pete” Byers, Randolph “Etty” Burton, Edlorn “Judgement” O’Garro and Hollis Simon, twice played from behind to clinch the 2024 title over the lawmen and walk away with the main trophy.

Steven Hughes put Police ahead in as early as the fifth minute but Conroy Browne drew Old Stagers level on minute 24. The lawmen took the lead once more when, in minute 40, Jean-Pierre Williams struck from close range.

However, their experienced opponents were not done as Juwan Roberts found the equaliser in minute 57 before Jamal Steven scored the winner in the 61st minute.

The league’s Golden Boot award was captured by Joshua Samuel, Roneba Cordice was the Best Defender and the Golden Glove (Best Goalkeeper) award went to Meyer Bailey. Shafeeq Joseph won the Natto Hurst MVP Award.
