Old Road Southside Ballers picked up a victory in the Antigua & Barbuda Football Association’s (ABFA) women’s competition on Saturday, beating Fort Road 3-1 at the Antigua Recreation Grounds (ARG).
Former national player, Argell London scored all three goals for Southside Ballers in the first half – in the 13th , 30th and 33th minute to dominate her opponents’ defense.
Zolique Samuel was the lone goal scorer for Fort Road, netting in the 48th minute.
In Saturday’s other contest, played at the same venue, Ottos Rangers Queen’s United and 5P’s played to a 2-2 draw.
5P’s took the lead in the fifth minute through a Tawanan Athanaze strike before Nikiesha Gage puled a goal back for Queen’s United in minute 49. Queen’s United took the lead in minute 55 through a Britney Edwards strike before a 76th minute equalizer by Kai Jacobs secured a single point for 5P’s.
