Old Road wins while 5P’s salvages draw in ABFA’s women’s league

Old Road Southside Ballers picked up a victory in the Antigua & Barbuda Football Association’s (ABFA) women’s competition on Saturday, beating Fort Road 3-1 at the Antigua Recreation Grounds (ARG).
Former national player, Argell London scored all three goals  for Southside Ballers in the first half – in the 13^th , 30^th  and 33th  minute to dominate her opponents’ defense.
Zolique Samuel was the lone goal scorer for Fort Road, netting in the 48^th minute.
In Saturday’s other contest, played at the same venue, Ottos Rangers Queen’s United and 5P’s played to a 2-2 draw.
5P’s took the lead in the fifth minute through a Tawanan Athanaze strike before Nikiesha Gage puled a goal back for Queen’s United in minute 49. Queen’s United took the lead in minute 55 through a Britney Edwards strike before a 76th minute equalizer by Kai Jacobs secured a single point for 5P’s.
