NOC to host Olympic Day events

The National Olympic Committee (NOC) will host its Olympic Day/Run/Walk at the end of the month.
The NOC confirmed that the anticipated event will take place on June 25 and will start at 3 pm at the Olympic Office on Redcliffe Street. The event this year, according to the NOC, will be followed by a Zumba session.
Olympic Day is a free event and is pushed as an ideal platform to encourage people to become more active while highlighting the benefits of physical activity in general, particularly for young people.
It is also being touted as an opportunity to learn about the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect as well as to discover new sports.
Prizes will be awarded to the largest association, the largest school and the largest crew containing 10 people or more.
A guaranteed free tee shirt will be provided to all persons who register before June 9. Registration forms can be collected at the Olympic Office Mondays to Fridays between 9:30 am – 4:30 pm.
