The Antigua & Barbuda team of Daniel Bailey, Richard Richardson, Jared Jarvis and Chavaughn Walsh catapulted the national team into the finals of the 4×200 metres event with a time of 1:24.33 in the semifinals, finishing fourth in heat 2.
The team was, however, found wanting in the finals, finishing a disappointing eighth in a time of 1:25.11.

Jamaica also did not complete the race after they, too, dropped the baton to register a DNF.
