New BoE chairperson appointed

The Board of Education has a new chairperson. Head of the Undergrad Department at the Antigua State College, Denise Gardiner was recently appointed to the post.
Gardiner told OBSERVER media that her initial appointment is for two years and she will meet with the board for the first on Tuesday.
Gardiner has been the administrator and coordinator of the Undergrad programme for the last six years and replaces Leslie-Ann Yearwood.
The 28-year veteran
educator started her teaching career at the Antigua State College, teaching Economics in the A-Level Department.
She holds a degree in economics.
