ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Antiguans and Barbudans, who want to open a business but are afraid to do so, have been encouraged to just take the leap of faith.
The advice comes from Communications Specialist and Business Innovator, Nerissa Golden, who said despite challenges, it’s rewarding to work for yourself and watch your dreams take flight.
“You can choose to do it part-time to see if it will work for you, but at the end of the day, you have to be willing to take some risks. Entrepreneurship requires you to take risks … on yourself, in your dreams,” she said.
Golden added that “leaping” small business owners must be willing to make mistakes and “learn from them.”
“You cannot give up after you have made the mistake,” she advised.
antiguaobserver.com is really happy to provide this forum in which all are encouraged to freely state their opinions without ridiculing
anyone or being ridiculed. We've found that happens really easily if each comment is limited to the topic at hand. We will approve any
comment that speaks solely to the story to which it is attached and is free from name calling and defamatory statements.
While we will not post comments questioning moderators' judgement, we will take such suggestions into consideration as possible ways to
improve the experience of all community members. If you feel your submission has been disallowed unfairly or if a breech slips through
