Police said that Delano Forbes is now in their custody and being questioned about the stabbing death of his fellow Swetes resident, Wilfred “Bongo” Williams.
Yesterday, police said that they captured the 23-year-old suspect at approximately 8 p.m. on Monday, hiding in some bushes in his village.
Williams, 59, was found dead last week Wednesday in a latrine that had been nailed shut, just four days after his relatives last saw him alive.
Relatives and friends reported him missing to police the same day his lifeless body was discovered in the out-house located close to his home.
The discovery of Williams’ blue and black car led to the foul odour. Lawmen had to pry the door open to get to the deceased.
Lawmen determined that several items were noticeably missing from the home of the deceased, and according to police sources at the time, a suspect had been identified.
A police source close to the investigation told OBSERVER media yesterday that the probe is ongoing, and the accused will be charged pending further information revealed in the continuing investigation.
