The ABAVA Business League Volleyball Tournament saw exciting matches on Thursday night, with
Media and Island Academy securing important victories.
In the first match of the evening Media defeated Flyers in a hard-fought three-set battle. The Media team took the first set 25-19, before the losers bounced back to claim the second set 25-23. The decisive third set saw Media prevail 15-12, sealing a 2-1 victory in a match that lasted an hour and 20 minutes.
Final match of the night saw Island Academy schooling Royalton in straight sets. The Academy team showed their remarkable form by winning the first set 25-18 and maintaining their momentum to take a much more competitive second set at 25-24. The match, which lasted 44 minutes, showcased Island Academy’s efficient performance, with final scores of 2-0.
