FC Master Ballerz and English Harbour were winners in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) Second Division when action resumed on Tuesday.

Playing at Golden Grove, Ballerz had the better of home team Tamo FC by a 4-2 margin to end the first round of the competition on 24 points and fifth in the standings after 14 outings.

Keyon Joseph opened the scoring in the 25th minute to put Ballerz in control of the contest before Jahiem Grant drew Tamo FC level just three minutes later. A 32nd minute conversion put Ballerz back in control of the match and carried them into the half as 2-1 leaders.

An own-goal by Jimal Christian levelled the scores once more and gave the home team some hope but those hopes were dashed in the 73rd minute when Uran Francis inadvertently put the ball into the back of his own net to hand control of the match back over to Ballerz.

Romar Gidrisingh secured the three points for the visitors when he struck seven minutes from time.

The loss was Tamo’s 12th in 13 matches as they remain at the bottom of the standings on three points.

In Tuesday’s other clash, former Premier Division champions English Harbour made light work of CPTSA Wings to win by a 4-1 margin.

Delroy Simpson led the way with a double by scoring in minutes 53 and 69, while there were single strikes from Wayne Phillip and Oshane Blackwood who netted in minutes 18 and 14 respectively for the winners. Nesworn Knowles scored the lone goal for Wings when he struck in minute 87.

The win carries Harbour to 22 points from 14 showings while Wings are 11th with 13 points from 13 showings.
