Ricardo McKenzie of Sutherlands, will spend the next year and eight months at His Majesty Prison for gun and ammunition offences.
The sentencing was made on Friday morning by Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel at the All Saints Court.
28 year old McKenzie along with 34 year old O’Neil Swaby were nabbed by the police on Monday, during a stop and search.
It is reported around 4:00 PM, the police were acting on certain information when the intercepted a silver Toyota Belta motor car at Green Castle, Bendals with Swaby and McKenzie inside.
A search of the vehicle was carried out on the vehicle and the illegal weapon, along wit the match rounds of ammunition were found. Both men were arrested and taken into custody
