Man pleads guilty to killing transgender partner

Twenty-year-old, Timothy Jackman, plead guilty to manslaughter by reason of provocation of in the killing of his then-partner 25-year-old Arnal “Angel” Joseph.

Sentencing is set for 27th March.

The man was accused of killing his transgender partner at their apartment home in Potters Village on August 29, 2018.

Jackman, was initially charged with the murder of Joseph, who police said suffered a fatal stab wound.

The victim was stabbed to death allegedly after an argument with Jackman.

The murder accused turned himself in to police shortly after the incident. Upon arrival at the home, investigators found the deceased in a pool of blood in a room.

Joseph is a transgender woman who was born male, but, lived his life dressing and appearing to be a woman

  1. It is noted that the killer is very young at age 20. But, getting into a rage and killing your partner just because of an argument is unacceptable.
    It is reported in the newspaper that the deceased was in the process of moving out when being attacked. Therefore, the alibi of provocation is unacceptable. This killer should have been found guilty of murder. I think the law needs to be revised so that a killer, in such circumstances, is not given the option to plead manslaughter.
    Based on the facts reported in the newspaper this killer should not be allowed to walk the streets again, have another relationship and possibly recommit a similar offense. This killer should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
