A man is alleging that he was manhandled by police officers around 5am yesterday during their hunt for his brother.
The All Saints resident told OBSERVER media that he suffered horrific treatment at the hands of a man he did not know was a police officer until further into the entire ordeal.
“This morning [Friday 16th August] some police came to arrest my brother. There are a few houses in the yard but he doesn’t live in the one I live in. When I heard somebody was rapping outside, I opened my door to see who was outside. As soon as I opened my door, I heard the person ask me my brother’s name, like if I’m him, but the person I saw didn’t have on any uniform. He had on regular clothes, regular pants, regular shoes…before I answered, the person grabbed me by my tights and my privates and pulled me outside,” the man said.
“Before they even showed the warrant, all of that took place, and I don’t know their names. All I know is they are police from the Liberta Police Station and police from headquarters, but I don’t know any of their names. I can only remember the face of the one who pulled me outside by my testicles and my tights,” he added.
He further alleged that upon speaking to one of the officers about how he was being treated, the officer threatened to arrest him.
