The man charged with the murder of Customs Officer Zorina Benjamin is expected to reappear in the High Court on Friday, February 21 when his matter will be heard.

Delon Charlery is alleged to have killed the mother of one over three years ago.

His attorney Wendel Alexander said that there is a certain course of action which he wishes to take, but he has to review a camera recording that captured certain events.

Alexander said he received a pen drive from the Director of Public Prosecution with the necessary information, which he has started to review, but is yet to complete doing so.

Benjamin’s life was tragically cut short on November 22, 2021, and her lifeless body discovered in her Golden Grove residence.

Her body bore signs of a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

Shortly after her death, Charlery, her partner, was picked up and charged in connection with the incident.

Charlery has since been remanded to His Majesty Prison following his initial court appearance.
