National tennis player, Jody Maginley, continues to have an impressive showing at the 2019 edition of the Davis Cup Americas Group III in Costa Rica.

Maginley, after winning his opening debut singles match versus the Bahamas, continued on that note defeating Costa Rica on Tuesday in the Rubber 2 Singles match 4-6, 6-1,4-6.

Despite his winning ways, Team Antigua and Barbuda lost their second outing, this time to Costa Rica, falling 2-1 as teammate, Kyle Joseph lost his singles match-up and doubles partners Maginley and Carlton Bedminister tied their encounter.

Joseph, playing in the singles Rubber 1 match-up, went under 1-6, 2-6, while partners Maginley and Bedminister tied with Costa Rica’s 0-1 (4-6, 4-6).

Team Antigua and Barbuda will hope to improve on their recent performances when they face the USVI later this week.
