All Saints United Football FC are favourites to win Super League title

There were wins for Freemans Village and Willikies in the Parham Super League on Wednesday, while the fixtures for the Jennings Ebenezer Community Sports League on Monday saw Bush and Blunt register victories as well.

Bush and Blunt came from behind to beat Bendals in a 2-1 triumph. Daren Stevens scored first in the 24th minute to give Bendals the lead before Dejazmatch Christian drew the game level one-all. The winning goal was scored in the 47th minute by Andre Nicholas to give Bush and Blunt the game.

Pigotts were beaten one-nil by Willikies, thanks to a goal scored by Shyen Hastings in the 69th minute, while Freeman’s Village beat Attacking Saints in the 3-1 win. Saints scored first in the 15th minute via a Joshua Samuel strike before Freeman’s Village equalised in the 31st minute by way of a Kevin Gregory goal. Five minutes later, Malik Charles scored to give the Village a 2-1 lead. The final goal was an own goal scored by Prince Walters in the 44th minute.

The quarterfinals will kick off on Saturday which will see Willikies face off against John Hughes in the first encounter, whereas Pigotts take on All Saints United in the second match.

On Sunday, Freeman’s Village battles Potters in the first match-up, while Garden Stars will play either Master Ballers or Greenbay Hoppers.
