
Redonda Robotics and Diaspora Progressives are proud to announce their joint donation of a comprehensive 16-piece security camera system to the National Public Library of Antigua and Barbuda.
This gesture demonstrates the commitment to the development and security of this vital national institution.
Expanding on the initial gift of eight cameras from Hannibal Fleming of Redonda Robotics, the partnership with Diaspora Progressives has enabled a significant increase in security coverage at the National Public Library.
This collective effort underscores the shared dedication of both organizations to actively contribute to the progress and well-being of Antigua and Barbuda.
Jermaine N. Edwards, an Executive member of Diaspora Progressives, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating, “We are delighted to stand alongside Redonda Robotics in supporting the National Public Library and the people of Antigua and Barbuda. This partnership demonstrates our commitment to leveraging technology to enhance security thereby facilitating community growth and development.”
In appreciation of the enhanced security measures, Brenda Warren, a staff member at the National Public Library, expressed gratitude for the partnership between Redonda Robotics and Diaspora Progressives.
She remarked, “The donation of these advanced cameras will greatly enhance our library’s security. We extend our heartfelt thanks to both organizations for their generous support.”
Redonda Robotics is currently hosting its 2024 Summer Robotics Program at the National Public Library. This exciting event offers young enthusiasts aged 12 to 20, the hands-on opportunity to dive into the world of robotics and technology.
This program is part of an ongoing collaboration with Diaspora Progressives, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocacy and action on issues that impact Antiguans and Barbudans at home and abroad.
Both entities focus on opportunities for nation building, youth empowerment and community development.
