Lees Landscaping 300 and Dredgers were able to pick up two convincing victories in their encounters in the Everyday Store 24/7 Ltd/Alva Joseph ABSCA Male T10 overs competition on Sunday.
Marco Inc/Grill Box Buckley’s 3J’s defeated Construction Solutions PMS by 8 wickets.
PMS won the toss and batted first, posting 63 for 7 from their 10 overs. Denfield Roach top-scored with 21 as Rodney Williams picked up 3 for 11 and Steve Martin had 3 for 17.
In reply, 3J’s made 67 for 2 from just 3.4 overs. Steve Martin cracked an unbeaten 28 while Denley Thomas had 22. Terrence Thompson collected 2 for 37.
In their first match of the day, Lees Landscaping 300 defeated Brysons Shipping & Insurance Bullets by 18 runs.
Winning the toss and batting first, 300 posted 114 for 2 from 10 overs. Half centuries were scored by Charles James and Veston Lewis who had 52 and 51 respectively. Bullets responded with 96 for 5 from their 10 overs as Morrison Browne made 37 and Dorian Grant scored 21 not out.
Dredgers beat Sisserou by 66 runs. Batting first, they made 118 all out as Mervin Higgins top scored with 51. Anthony Mathurin had three for nine runs, Isaiah Viville 2 for 11 and Sahiem Dharanjit 2 for 32. Sisserou in reply made 52 for 6 from 10 overs. Anthony Mathurin had 19 while Stelbert Plant picked up two for six and Brent Bloodman had two for eight runs.
Lees Landscaping 300 then defeated Sisserou by 10 wickets. Sisserou won the toss and batted first only getting 64 for 7 from 10 overs. Rennick Esprit made 22 while Zach Thomas grabbed 2 for 11 and Jared Roberts had 2 for 12. 300 got to the target in only three overs scoring 68 without loss, Veston Lewis scored an unbeaten 29 while Charles James had 27.
Dredgers defeated Brysons Shipping & Insurance Bullets by 29 runs. They batted first after winning the toss and got to 128 for 5 from 10 overs. Mervin Higgins slammed 91 which contained three fours and 12 sixes. Kerry Burton had figures of 2 for 11. Bullets replied with 99 for 6 from 10 overs in which Kimani George top scored with 56. Higgins then starred with the ball picking up 3 for 17 in his two overs.
In the Enforcers ABSCA Female 10 overs competition for Sunday March 10, 2024, the results are as follows:
Goody’s Taxi Services & Tours Jennings Rockets defeated Rackaman Construction Strictly Business by eight wickets. Strictly Business won the toss and batted first, scoring 37 for 7 from 10 overs as Pauline Shaw had figures of two for three runs, and Kushana David 2 for 11. Jennings Rockets responded with 39 for three from seven overs as Chemique Benjamin made 19.
Wayne’s Electrical Services Survivors won their encounter against Potters Uprising Serpents by five wickets. Serpents won the toss and batted first, posting 56 for six from ten overs as Stacey Telemaque was the top scorer with 24. Lokuelle Pelle’s 3 for 3 from her two overs and Cerie Richards’ 2 for 11 runs were the best bowlers on show. Survivors replied with 60 for 5 from 7.4 overs as Joan Samuel and Enrika Mathew both had scores of 20 not out.
