H Wright Promotions and Fearless Crew picked up impressive wins in their opening encounters of the Cool & Smooth Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association’s Business Basketball League at the JSC Sports Complex on Sunday night.
The game of the evening saw Fearless Crew emerge victorious over newcomers Lion Feast with a final score of 68-48. Takeem Martin led the charge for Fearless Crew with an impressive double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 7 rebounds, with Tawaghe Hill contributing 11 points, while Joel Christian added 10 points to secure the win.
The losing side saw a strong performance from Kirwan Peterson, who led all scorers with 19 points for the match. Baldwin Anthony Jr also had a solid outing, recording a near double-double with 11 points and 9 rebounds.
The second game saw a one-sided affair in which H Wright Promotions dominated Sledge O’s 101-53. Donte Trimingham starred for H Wright Promotions with a game-high 22 points and 11 rebounds. Amari Browne chipped in with 18 points, while Humroy Wright and Javonte Daley contributed 12 and 11 points respectively.
Sledge O’s, despite the lopsided score, had notable performances from Kareem Edwards, who scored 20 points and recorded 3 blocks, and Tyler Jacobs, who added 10 points and 7 rebounds.
