LONDON, Aug 26, CMC – Bermudian winger Reggie Lambe struck for the third time in successive weeks but his second-half goal was only a consolation as 10-man Carlisle United crashed to a 4-1 defeat against newly-promoted Lincoln City in an English League Two match at Sincil Bank on Saturday.
The visitors were already three down when 26-year-old Lambe scored from close range in the 75th minute after team-mate Tom Parkes had been sent off nine minutes earlier.
Billy Knott added Lincoln’s fourth in the 87th minute after Alex Woodyard netted a double in the 31st and 62nd minutes, with Matt Rhead converting a 67th minute penalty following Parkes’ dismissal.
Carlisle’s defeat saw them tumble from fifth place to 11th in the standings.
