Former champions, Jumby Bay, remain one of the two undefeated teams in the ongoing Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association (ABAVA) Business League.
The powerhouse team, which returned to the league this season after a one-year absence, handed newbies Cliff Hangers their first loss of the season on Thursday night at the YMCA Volleyball Indoor facility in their Zone 1 encounter.
Winning in straight sets, the 25-15, 25-20 defeat gave the former champs an impressive 4-0 record while Cliff Hangers now hold a 4-1 record.
In the feature match, MEDSO pushed their winless record to 0-4 as the struggling team went under in straight sets to APUA Inet.
The Zone 2 match-up ended 25-17, 25-17.
APUA Inet now hold a 3-1 record.
Matches will continue tonight at 6:30 p.m. as
Cliff Hangers will face Island Provision while at 7:30 p.m. Scotia Bank will battle Sandals.
A general admission of two dollars is charged.
