Juels 2 pushed their undefeated record to 3-0 after a 65-22 triumph over Wings Tough Gals on Tuesday night at the JSC Sports Complex in the ongoing Gillian Brazier Basketball Tournament.
The Canadian team were led by Raya Valcin-Joseph who had 14 points and five rebounds in the feature encounter of the double header evening.
Marina Radonjic and Samantha Hemon both assisted with 10 points.
Hemon, however, grabbed an additional 10 rebounds for the victors.
Wings’ Dennika Bascom had seven points and seven rebounds and teammate, Jenah Andrew scored six in a losing effort.
This is the third straight loss for Wings.
Juels 1 also kept their undefeated record intact with a 60-43 win over their counterparts, Juels 3.
They are now 3-0.
Meredith Walker had 14 points and five rebounds for the victors with assistance from Alexis Schrybert who sank 13.
Reegan Bell also got in on the action netting 11 and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Juels 3’s Sophia Marinen had 14 points and five steals in a losing effort.
A day earlier at the same venue, Juels 3 trounced Island Original Cyclones, 60-33, moving their record to 2-2.
Lanssa Ruggiero had a game high 16 points. Her teammates, Jade Diltmer and Ella Cavanaugh contributed scoring 14 and 11 points respectively.
Cyclones’ Melissa Haywood and Mary Jane Grant both scored 10 points.
Kai Joseph also snatched 10 rebounds in a losing effort.
In the other game played that day, Juels 1 defeated Wings Tough Gals, 61-22.
