Jah Youths and Sick People advance while Real Starz and Blackburn win across leagues

Jah Youth recorded a 2-0 victory over Aaron’s Experience to climb atop Group B standings in the Denfield “Tody” Thomas Memorial League in Liberta on Monday while Sick People were denied the top spot in Group A following a draw with New Generation.
National striker, Randolph “Etty” Burton and Alex Browne each scored once for Jah Youths as they moved to 12 points, three ahead of Hot Tool after four matches each. The victory also means that Jah Youths advances to the next round of the small-goal competition.
Hot Tool (9 points), East Bank Demarara (7 points) and Experience (6 points) have also advanced to the next round of matches.
Meanwhile, Sick People leaped into the number two position in Group A following a 1-1 draw with New Generation. Zikomo Knight scored for Sick People while New Generation’s lone strike came from Wilden Cornwall Jr.
Sick People moves to eight points, one adrift of Napoi with nine points, each after four showings. It means that Napoli, Sick People, Pro Ballers and Bethesda are through to the next round.
In the Anderson E Carty Gray’s Green Community Football League, Real Starz had the better of Tamo FC 2-1 at the King George V Grounds. Roy Gregory and William Perreira each scored once for the victors while O. Gore netted for Tamo FC.
Also, Blackburn were 1-nil winners over Sunday Morning Ballers with Gavin Williams scoring the lone goal of the contest. In Monday’s other match, Green City and Rangers played to a nil-all draw.
There was action in the Fort Road Community Football League as well with El Guapo and Cool Runnings playing to a 1-1 draw in the lone contest.
Nicardo Lindsey scored for El Guapo while Shamoy Carty scored for Cool Runnings.
