Jah Youths and Napoli win in Liberta as Gray’s Green set for playoffs

There were victories for Jah Youths and Napoli in the Denfield “Tody” Thomas Memorial League over the weekend as teams continue to jostle for qualification spots in the small-goal competition being played in Liberta.
Playing in the feature match of a double-header on Sunday, national players Randolph “Etty” Burton and Avier “World Boss” Christian each scored once as Jah Youths beat Sick People 2-0. Both players took their tally of goals to five in the competition and leveled with English Harbour’s Shack Williams at the top of the goal scorer’s chart.
In Sunday’s other contest, national defender Vashami Allen scored the only goal as Napoli had the better of Under the Lights by a 1-0 margin.
Meanwhile in the Anderson E Carty Gray’s Green Community Football League on Saturday, El Guapo defeated Master Ballers 1-0 with the only goal of the contest coming from Shakkimba Williams.
Ghetto Youth Connection defeated Top Ranking Upsetters 1-0 in Saturday’s opening contest.
The playoffs will start on Tuesday when Sunday Morning Ballers face Cedar Grove at 5:00 p.m. while Green City face Hoppers at 6:15 p.m.
