Island Provision edge out Alorica in Business Volleyball battle

Island Provision edged out powerhouse team, Alorica, 2-1 on Thursday night in the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association Business League.
Alorica drew first blood taking the first set, 25-22 but were overpowered by Island Provision who were led by national player, Yashid Auguiste to take the second set, 18-25.
 With the third and final set underway, both teams were locked in head to head trading points but it was two unforced errors by Alorica that cost them the third set, 13-15 and eventually the match.
In the other match that night, Medso sent the lawmen to the cellar winning in straight sets, 25-18, 26-24.
Twenty-four hours earlier, Scotiabank handed APUA their first loss of the season edging them out, 2-1.
 APUA took the first set, 25-23 but could not seem to contain the offensive power of Scotiabank who snatched the second set, 25-20.
The third and final set was a true battle but Scotiabank emerged on top claiming the set, 15-10.
ABIIT were also victorious that evening defeating Media, 2-1.
Media took the first set, 25-21 but could not find the winning formula, losing the final two sets, 15-25, 5-15.
League matches will continue tonight as Scotiabank will battle ABIIT at 7:30 p.m.
