Icons rapped up their best of three finals series against ECAB in the Business League Volleyball Championships on Thursday night, beating rivals ECAB 2-0 in sets to claim game two and take the top prize at the body’s indoor facility at the YMCS Sports Complex.
Icons won a close and competitive opening set by a 26-24 margin before returning to take the second set 25-19. The triumph follows a 2-1 sets win in the opening contest on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, APUA Inet rebounded from a 2-0 sets loss to Nate’s Photography in their opening clash to level their best of three bronze medal series 1-1 on Thursday with a 2-1 win in sets.
After losing the opening set 25-23, Inet rebounded to claim a 25-20 win in set two and a 15-9 win in set three to tie the series.
