Northside Stingerz defeated All Saints Slam 83-61, while Flyers Basketball overhauled Kennedy’s Club Ltd Ottos Full Throttle 97-49 in the First Division of the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association’s matches at the JSC Sports Complex on Saturday night.
In the first match of the double header, the Stingerz side dominated the first three quarters, winning 13-12, 21-13, 37-20, and losing only the last one, 16-12.
Stingerz Joshua Minner top-scored with 30 points, while contributions of 10 points each came from Jayzee Saltibus and Keroi Lee.
Sergio Symister was the top-scorer for All Saints Slam with 25 points, while Keaddy Martin and Judah Ferris had 12 and 10 points respectively.
In the second match of the night, Flyers Basketball made light work of Kennedy’s Club Ltd Ottos Full Throttle in a landslide victory, winning 97-49.
The Flyers dominated each quarter winning 21-11, 21-8, 24-12 and 31-18.
The best shooter on the night for the winners was Donte Trimmingham with 25 points, Selassie Braithwaite had 19 points while David Hernadez had 13.
Shaquille Kelly and N’Kenge Drew had 14 and nine points respectively for the Full Throttle side.
The next round of matches will be on Thursday March 28, and will see a double-header with Spanish Heat taking on Potters Steelers while Full Throttle will come up against the Northside Stingerz.
