High Court evacuated over bomb threat

Just over 24 hours after two maximum security inmates escaped from Her Majesty’s Prison, a bomb threat was made at the High Court.

However it is uncertain whether the two incidents are related. Staff at the court reportedly received the threat via a call around 8 am today.

The word was spread through the two-storey building and everyone was asked to evacuate.

At the moment the police’ bomb squad and other investigators are doing a sweep of the building to locate the bomb.

This comes a day after triple murder convict Avie Howell and fraud accused Kenroy Marshall escaped from maximum security at Her Majesty’s Prison.

A manhunt is on for the duo who police say are armed and dangerous.

This morning Corporal Frankie Thomas said they were still on the run.
