Clarence Cameron of Bendals, a 19-year-old charged with murder, will have to wait until December 10 to know whether his case will be sent to the High Court for hearing.

The teenager is accused of killing Omarrie Graham, a 17-year-old community member. Graham’s lifeless body was found lying on the western side of the road in the vicinity of the St Luke’s Anglican Church in Bendal on May 5, 2024.

An examination revealed stab wounds to the left side of his neck, left forearm and left wrist.

According to information received from authorities, Graham was involved in an altercation on Middle Road near the former Free Style Friday Dance with a villager who inflicted the fatal injuries before fleeing the scene. Cameron was subsequently charged with murder and has appeared in court a couple of times since before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel.

His committal hearing was adjourned again Wednesday morning because some exhibits are yet to be shared with the defence.

Meanwhile, murder accused Denris Josiah’s committal was also adjourned. Josiah is believed to have killed 23-year-old Ricaldo Joseph during an altercation on March 30 this year.

The two Old Road residents reportedly got into a fight at a bar, and the situation reportedly escalated when one of them grabbed a cutlass, resulting in fatal injuries to Joseph’s head, neck, and arms.

His case has been pushed to January 14, 2025.
