Another goal filled day in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association’s Second Division as a total of 20 goals were scored. Guydadli and Young Lions dished out decisive victories over their opponents with both collecting five-nil victories in their respective matches.
Guydadli FC gave visitors Bethesda FC a handful of goals at Johnston’s in Friday’s ABFA Second Division. The men from the east simply had no answers for the onslaught that was dished out at them. Opening the scoring for the home side was Nazeek Williamson in the 3rd minute, followed by goals from Michael Peters (12′), Nicholas Clarke (29′), Terroy Ponde (53′), and Taijah Christian (64′).
Moreover, Young Lions FC secured victory against Golden Grove FC at Old Road, with goals from Attain Fabian, Stephen Hughes, Tyler Anthony, and Arnel Walsh, while also benefiting from a Rashid Francis own goal
A thrilling eight-goal spectacle unfolded at English Harbour as the home team drew 4-4 with Seaview Farm FC. Seaview Farm took early control through Klyster Rowe (25′) and Rhezal Gomes (32′). English Harbour responded with quick-fire goals from Rakeem Isaac and Oshane Blackwood in the 40th minute to end the first half two all. Akeem Weekes then scored twice (53′, 71′) for the hosts, but Seaview Farm fought back with an unfortunate own goal from Isaac (62′) and Gomes completing his brace in the 82nd minute.
At Cedar Grove, Bluejays FC and CPTSA Wings SC battled to a 1-1 draw. Ja-Rohn Thomas put Bluejays ahead in the 54th minute, but their lead was short-lived as Joshua James equalized for Wings five minutes later.
