Ottos Comprehensive School (OCS) and the Antigua Grammar School (AGS) were huge winners in the Cool & Smooth/Joma sponsored Schools Football Competition as action continued in the Boys Under-14 Division on Tuesday.
In a show of complete dominance, OCS inflicted a 6-0 trouncing on St Mary’s Secondary School. Jevoi Grey led the charge for OCS with a double strike, scoring in minutes 34 and 36. There were single conversions from Lijthaddeus Christian in the second minute, Kemauri Barthley in the fourth minute, Tajaun Williamson in the 15th minute and Devon Charles in the 50th.
The win was OCS’ third in six matches as they move to 10 points while the loss was St Mary’s third in six outings as they remain on four points.
Meanwhile, AGS enjoyed a comfortable 5-0 win over Pares Secondary School (PSS). Tafari Parker was the star of the show as he recorded a hattrick with goals in minutes 2, 23 and 38. Nayon Edwards (33) and Jair Baptiste (35) both scored once to round off the onslaught. The win pushes AGS to 13 points in five showings while Pares are yet to get off the mark after the same number of outings.
There was victory as well for the Princess Margaret School (PMS) as they beat All Saints Secondary School (ASSS) 3-0 to move to 13 points from their five showings to date.
Alan Henry led the charge with a double strike, netting in minutes 16 and 20 while Rayon Nicholas added the third in minute 40.
Clare Hall Secondary School (CHSS) were also three-nil winners on Tuesday when they faced St Anthony’s Secondary School (SASS). Tevon Henderson, Glenford Ambrose and Michael Moses all scored once for the victors as they move to 16 points at the top of the standings.
In the other under-14 match contest Tuesday, St Joseph’s Academy (SJA) beat Sir Novelle Richards Academy (SNRA) 2-1 to record their second win in six showings.
Daijon Shaw put SJA ahead on minute 30 before Jaariq Roberts stretched the advantage just seven minutes later while securing three points for his team. DNic Hardaway scored the only goal for SNRA.
