Sandals/Inet Grenades have named a 20-man team for their opening encounter in the Concacaf Caribbean Cup on August 28 against the Dominican Republic’s Cibao FC.
Brent Parker, Zahiem Joseph, Zaieem Scott, Carl Osbourne, Sherman Augustin, Barrington Blake, Zaire Scott, D’Jarie Sheppard, Keanu Barrett and Eugine Kirwan have all been included. They are joined by Kieron Richards, Malcolm Stewart, Sean Tomlinson, Daryl Massicot, Ridel Stanislas, Lester Joseph, Quinton Griffith, Kurt Frederick, Maliko Anthony and Iteba Baltimore.
The team is being coached by former national striker and former national coach, Derrick “Pretty Boy” Edwards.
The match, which will be played at the Estadio Cibao FC, is slated to kick off at 8pm.
Grenades qualified for the Caribbean Cup after finishing as runners-up in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Club Shield recently held in Curacao. The Antigua and Barbuda team was beaten one-nil in the final by Jamaica’s Arnett Gardens FC who also qualified for the Concacaf tournament.
Grenades is contesting Group B alongside Cibao FC, Moca FC out of Dominica, Ouanaminthe FC out of Haiti and AC Port of Spain out of Trinidad.
