Anthony Govia, the man wanted for the June 30 robbery at the Carlisle Bay Resort is still at large but acting police commissioner, Athley Rodney says established intra regional police cooperation and procedure will ensure that the wanted man will be caught if he has fled to another island.
Govia, also known as ‘Thug Life’, has not been apprehended for the alleged robbery.
He has eluded the local police and has ignored an appeal for him to turn himself in.
However, the acting police commissioner cannot confirm whether Govia has left the country.
The 31-year-old is dark in complexion, slimly built and is six feet four inches tall.
The police have issued a wanted bulletin for Govia, who, according to well placed sources, has not been seen at his home since the robbery.
It is alleged that Govia and 33-year-old Kathy-Ann Isaac conspired to rob the hotel of over $60,000. She has since been arrested and remanded to prison until October 10 for her committal.
