Led by a haul from Stephen Hughes and a hattrick from Tyler Anthony, Golden Grove FC recorded a huge 11-1 triumph over the struggling Tamo FC when they met in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) Second Division on Tuesday.
Playing at the Golden Grove playing filed, Hughes scored four times in his team’s huge win, netting in minutes 6, 8, 48 and 68 to lead the onslaught. Anthony had his fair shake, scoring in minutes 14, 47 and 90 to join the party.
There were single conversions from Yowzan Morrin in the 35th, Nyique Baptiste in minute 74, Justin “Trini” Pereira in minute 78 and Attian Fabian in minute 80, all for the victors. De’Andre Ralph scored the lone goal for Tamo FC when he struck in minute 58.
