Antigua and Barbuda has secured a bronze medal thus far at the ongoing Junior Caribbean Cycling Championships in Guyana.
Renee Gayral Jr, who competed in the Time Trials in the 17-18 age category on Saturday with a time of 28 minutes and 38.95 seconds, claimed the third-place spot.
The national junior sportsman of the year nominee was edged out by Bermuda’s Nicholas Narraway who placed second (27:59.14) and Trinidad and Tobago’s Enrique Comarmond who was first (27:00.36).
Both Gayral and teammate David Simmons competed in the Road Race yesterday.
Those results however could not be obtained before press time.
