Garden Stars FC recorded a third straight win in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) Premier Division when, on November 4, they beat former Champions FC Aston Villa 3-0 at the FA’s Technical Center to keep their unbeaten run intact.

Garden Stars went ahead in the 31st minute via a strike from Jahred Williams. It would, however, take the Liberta team another 53 minutes to find goal number two after Gerique George struck from close range in the 84th.

Five minutes later, Tyrik Hughes converted from the penalty spot to spark renewed hopes for the Villa men but those hopes soon dwindled after Garden Stars were awarded a penalty deep into added time. Sedique Adams willingly converted the kick to restore his team’s two-goal advantage and secure all three points as their tally moves to nine from three encounters.

Meanwhile, in the FA’s Second Division, former three-peat top flight champions English Harbour, recorded a 5-1 victory over CPTSA Wings SC to record a third consecutive win as they remain unbeaten in the lower tier.

Striker Akeem Weekes led the charge for English Harbour with a double, netting in minutes 34 and 48. There were single conversions from Delroy Simpson in minute seven, Clarence Marsh in minute 15 and Oshane Blackwood in minute 57 all for the victors. Shaquille Graham scored the only goal for Wings when he netted in the 50th minute.

In the other Second Division clash, Glanvilles and Herberts played to a 1-1 draw when they met at Glanvilles.

Jeante Browne gave Herberts the lead in the eighth minute but Allex Bailey secured a point for Glanvilles when he scored in the 53rd minute.
