Garden Stars record big win

Garden Stars FC recorded a big win on Wednesday afternoon in their Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) Division 2 Zone 2 match-up.
The 11-0 thrashing over Mahico Stars pushed the team to the 4th spot on the 14-team standings with three points after two showings.
Jahred Williams led the team in scoring with four goals in the 47th, 58th, 62nd and 67th minute.
 Opio Roberts recorded a hattrick for the victors as he found the back of the net in the 24th, 36th and 42nd minute.
Steve Henry (13th), Wilden Cornwall Jr. (29th), Amwa Isaac (69th) and Tarek Charles (71st) also scored for Garden Stars.
In the other Zone 2 encounter, Urlings FC defeated Freemans Village Scorpions by a 3-1 margin.
Jamol Simon gave the victors a 1-0 lead as early as the 2nd minute while teammate Rashane Roberts made it 2-0 in minute 25.
The Scorpions got one back in the 73rd minute with a strike from Kahlique Kellman but that goal would however be cancelled out as Roey Techeria sealed the victory for the round south team in the 80th minute.
Urlings now move to the 6th spot with three points while the Scorpions have yet to get off the mark as they sit in the 13th spot.
Meanwhile in Zone 1, Bolans edged out BlackBurn Palace FC 2-1 while the Earthquakes FC match versus Bendals was postponed.
