Two men are in custody and a car seized as police continue their probe into Tuesday night’s robbery at Sweet-Ts restaurant in Falmouth.
This is according to a senior officer close to the investigation.
The police source said Closed Circuit Security Cameras recorded the car parked on a “dead-end” road not far from the business place that night.
And, the two robbers who ran from the establishment after the attack, went to that vehicle which left the scene shortly before the police arrived.
A manager at Sweet-Ts who did not want to be named due to fear for her safety, said one robber jumped the counter and grabbed a bag which he threw to the other gunman.
Then, he ripped the cash register from its plug, and he and his accomplice took off with the items.
At the time of the incident, six workers were present along with a few customers but none of them had any interaction with the thieves. More details of this story will be in our online edition of the Daily Observer on Saturday.
