The Leeward Islands Cricket Board (LICB) 50 Overs Championship is set to take place in St Kitts and Nevis, with four teams currently confirmed to participate.
However, LICB President Enoch Lewis has indicated that the final line-up remains tentative, as two additional teams—Nevis and St Maarten—are facing financial difficulties and are actively seeking funding to secure their participation.
As it stands, the confirmed teams are:
- Antigua and Barbuda
- St Kitts
- Anguilla
- Combined Islands (comprising players from Montserrat, US Virgin Islands, and British Virgin Islands)
The tournament is scheduled to run from September 22-29. Antigua and Barbuda, the reigning champions, will be defending their title but will face challenges due to the absence of several key players.
West Indies stars Alzarri Joseph, Rahkeem Cornwall and Hayden Walsh, along with Jewel Andrew, Kofi James and Kelvin Pitman, will be missing from the line-up as they are taking part, for various teams, in the Caribbean Premier League.
