Four Antiguan female bodybuilders earned their pro-cards at the Darcy Beckles Classic in Barbados over the weekend.
Former Sportswoman of the Year Kimberly Percival, along with Leanna Carrington, Michelle Seaforth and Sher-Rhonda Braithwaite were the four athletes who posed and flexed their way to success.
Antigua and Barbuda made a clean sweep of the top three spots in the bikini overall section as Michelle Seaforth claimed the top prize; Kimberly Percival, second; and Leanna Carrington, third.
Seaforth and Percival also claimed top honours in the bikini short class and tall class sections while Carrington settled for second behind Seaforth.
Sher-Rhonda Brathwaite finished 3rd in the Open Class Body Fitness division.
Although the other members of the team missed out on their pro-cards, they too walked away with silverware.
Anthony Nurse finished third in the Men’s Physique short class while Mellisa Seaforth – twin sister of Michelle – settled for a bronze medal finish in bikini short class.
Keva Lloyd, competing in the same category as Brathwaite, just missed out on a medaling spot, finishing 4th.
This adds the tally of pro-athletes to seven overall in Antigua and Barbuda as Rosie-Ann Warrington, Bernard Percival Jr and Elvis Bailey earned their pro-status in previous competitions.
