Fort Road Secure Playoff Spot

Fort Road FC secured the final playoff spot in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) Division 1 league on Friday after edging out Potters Tigers, 1-0 in Potters.
 A goal by Alren Lewis gave Fort Road a full three points ending their campaign on 42 points in the third spot, three points ahead of Willikies FC who secured the second playoff spot.
Potters remain on 22 points in 9th place.
Freemans Village Scorpions bade farewell to Division One as they ended their campaign with only 7 points after 22 encounters.
The Scorpions fell to All Saints United, 4-2 at home as Rokeba Cordice (24th), Jason Dover (46th), Akeem Dublin (62nd) and Carlos Tittle (75th) all found the back of the net for the victors.
Gavin Hunte (52nd) and Coy Hunte (70th) were the goal-scorers for the Scorpions.
 United, with a game in hand, now move to 7th place with 28 points.
Ottos Rangers FC also found themselves in the winner’s circle as they trounced Ace Trucking and Heavy-duty Equipment Glanvilles FC, 3-0.
Junior Benjamin, Nahiem Jones and Ron Sealy all scored for the victors to move them to 5th place on the 12-team standings with 32 points.
Ottos however still have a game in hand.
Glanvilles remain in the 10th spot with 16 points.
In the lone Division 2 Zone 2 encounter, CPTSA Wings edged out 5P’s Wadadli FC, 2-1.
Jacobi Nathaniel and Coshane Francis found the back of the net for the victors.
Wings now move to 8th place with 19 points while 5P’s remain in the 7th spot with 20 points.
Games will continue today in Division 2 Zone 2 as Hon. Molwyn Joseph Bendals FC will host 5P’s Wadadli, BlackBurn Palace will visit Mahico Stars and CPTSA Wings will host National Park English Harbour FC.
In Zone 1, Point WestHam will host Top Ranking JSC Progressors.
All matches will kick-off at 4:20 p.m.
