Football elections difficult to predict

St John’s, Antigua – Former Football Association Executive and journalist Joel Rayne says it is difficult to predict the result of next month’s key vote on who will lead the FA for the next four years.

Some observers suggest say that the incumbent team, led by Everton “Batow” Gonsalves, has the advantage because it presided over the most successful Football World Cup qualifying run so far for Antigua and Barbuda.

But Rayne says other factors, including the timing of the vote might hand an advantage to challenger Veron “Eppilus” Edwards and his team.
