The Five Islands Football Club has turned their campaign in the right direction after an abysmal start to the 2024-25 Antigua and Barbuda Football Association season.
All the winners in Saturday’s triple header scored three goals in their victories.

The first match of the day saw Five Islands FC with a commanding comeback victory over Green City after falling behind to Amali Colbourne‘s 13th-minute opener.

It prompted them to respond emphatically with three goals in a blistering 12-minute spell.

Tev Lawrence levelled the match in the 20th minute, before Juan Melenciano Jr put them ahead four minutes later.

Jamal Joseph sealed the victory with a 32nd-minute strike, completing an impressive turnaround.

Pigotts Bullets SC secured a convincing victory in the second match with three nil win over Old Road. Tyrique Thwaites gave Bullets an early lead from the penalty spot in the 5th minute, but the match remained delicately poised until the closing stages.

Dorisca Markens doubled the advantage in the 86th minute before Peter Jacobs added gloss to the scoreline deep into stoppage time, confirming a significant win for the Bullets.

In the evening’s most entertaining encounter, FC Aston Villa edged past Greenbay Hoppers in a five-goal thriller.

Eroy Gonsalves emerged as the hero for Villa with a brilliant first-half double (17′, 32′), but Zaheim Greene kept Hoppers in the contest with a 29th-minute response.

Kadeem Campbell‘s 62nd-minute equalizer set up a tense finale, but Kwame Kirby proved to be Villa’s match-winner with his 74th-minute strike.
